Boredom and Obsession

Hey, It's 9pm est and I was incredibly bored to deeath... my search for Poe stuff on the web led me to 17 stupid sites put up by college students with their idiot analysis of his various works.. just as I was becoming more and more disconcerted by the idea that there were no other TRUE Poe lovers out there, BINGO! I found your page...

OK, I'll admit it... I'm a Poe Freak... but that's only because I believe that if its worth loving/doing, it's worth becoming obsessive over.... obsession is the sincerest form of flattery nevermind.. just ignore me!! I got into Poe as an annoying little kid that loved to quote EVERYTHING (especially lyrics)!! I still do, by the way. My poor mother handed me a piece of paper one day and said, "Memorize this". It was "The Raven". Naturally, I had to do it. Naive as she was, Mother didn't realize that I wasn't fazed by length; that only meant more fun. After awhile, I knew the poem by heart and drove her even closer to contemplating my murder .... when I got a year or so older, I started reading his other stuff... thus was born my obsession....

I was wondering if you could help me out with something? I have been trying to find info about the person who leaves roses at Poe's grave every year on a certain date.. do you know what the date is or where I could find out ANY info about it?? Thanks!

Kristal

PF replies: Some handy advice: When Poe got bored, rumor has it that he headed straight for the cognac bottle and another rumor has it he's still doing it! That should solve your boredom and mysterious person inquiries! ;-)
