Ravin' of the Week : (August 01- August 15, 1996)

Lenore

Hello, my name is Lenore. I was, infact, named for the mysterious and enchanting poem of the infamous Poe. 'The Raven' is his best known poem, along with many of his creepy short stories. Like the author of the June 22-30 Ravin', I go by the nickname Raven and some call me Nevermore. I am one of the other Raven lovers of whom you speak.

For others who share my namesake, I'd like to refer you to another poem of Poe's. It's called, creatively, 'Lenore.' The name Lenore is a derivative of Helen, which is also the name of one of Poe's poems. Lenore, meaning 'Light' was Poe's favorite name and used in many of his poems.

I am a regular "subscriber" to the Ravin' of the Week, and I thank it's creator. Please keep up the good work!

Eagerly, I wish you good morrow!
Forever More,

Lenore (greenan@worldnet.att.net)

PF replies: The rare and radiant one should never get lost in cyberspace or be taken too lightly, so you can have a lifelong subscription to the ol' Ravins until you'll finally say..... NEVERMORE! hehehe!
